Women's & Prison Ministries
This is the prison ministry started by Dana Davin-Ward. Twice a month on Fridays, Dana & her Isaiah ladies go to teach into the Arkansas Community Corrections in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to teach their "Change Your Mind, Change Your Life" curriculum. This ministry was inspired by Dana's book "Living Isaiah 30:18". Also every 2nd Monday night of the month they go for a very special worship service at the prison.
Her ministry spread from women's conferences to the prison ministry and is now a major part of the success of "The Harbor" and "The Harbor Home".
The women of Isaiah 30:18 are an important part of raising funds for "The Harbor Home", as well as providing teachers and mentors to the Harbor girls.
THE HARBOR HOME
A 6 to 9 MONTH
RECOVERY PROGRAM FOR WOMEN
The people of Servants Chapel voted to commit the facilities and assets to the development of a ministry to help women overcome addictions. The classrooms were to converted to bedrooms with the end result being the development of "The Harbor Home."
We are now able to house 10 girls with special classes to help them overcome their addictions. It is our beliefs that addiction is a symptom of deeper hurts. Our program is designed to peel away those layers of pain to get to the root problem. It is designed to introduce and develop them into a more personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Seeing their chains of addictions broken away through Christ's healing power into a freedom that only He can give.
Already our license counselors has dubbed the place, the House of Miracles. Indeed we are seeing great changes in our Harbor girls! They are now actively serving our church and giving back through community projects along with assiting other non-profit's in reaching their goals.
We are now developing our Phase 2 program which will help these women to transistion back into society with jobs and eventually homes.
